Jeff Passan of Yahoo Sports reports that the Braves have signed pitcher John Danks to a minor league deal with an invitation to spring training.
Danks, 31, struggled in his first four starts with the White Sox this past season before being released in mid-May. Danks owns a 4.92 ERA in 97 starts since the start of the 2012 season. He’s been bothered by shoulder issues for years.
The Braves have quite a bit of competition at the back of their starting rotation. Danks more likely could pitch out of the bullpen or provide depth at Triple-A.
