Derek Carr, Khalil Mack among Raiders' league-best seven players named to Pro Bowl

The NFL announced the rosters for the 2017 Pro Bowl on Tuesday night, and the AFC West-leading Oakland Raiders had seven players selected among the 44 chosen, more than any other team.
The Raiders named were: quarterback Derek Carr, offensive linemen Donald Penn, Rodney Hudson and Kelechi Osemele, receiver Amari Cooper, defensive end Khalil Mack and safety Reggie Nelson. Each played a big role in getting Oakland back to the playoffs for the first time since 2002.
The NFC South-leading Atlanta Falcons placed six players, most among NFC clubs.
Pro Bowl bound: Derek Carr (L) and Amari Cooper are among seven Raiders named to the annual all-star game.
There are three rookies among those chosen: Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott and running back Ezekiel Elliott, and Kansas CIty Chiefs kick returner Tyreek Hill. They are among 23 players who have been named Pro Bowlers for the first time.
New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady has been honored for the 12th time, more than any other active player; Arizona Cardinals receiver Larry Fitzgerald and Cleveland Browns left tackle Joe Thomas were each named to their 10th Pro Bowl.
This year the league has eschewed the captain-chosen teams and returned to the basic AFC and NFC rosters. There is one change, however: the game will be played at Camping World Stadium in Orlando, Fla. Traditionally the exhibition is played in Hawaii, though it has also been played at Super Bowl sites in recent years.
