Angels acquire Martin Maldonado from the Brewers

The Brewers announced on Tuesday that the club acquired catcher Jett Bandy from the Angels in exchange for catcher Martin Maldonado and minor league pitcher Drew Gagnon.
Maldonado, 30, has a career .217/.299/.342 triple-slash line in 1,094 plate appearances across parts of six seasons in the big leagues. He was originally selected by the Angels in the 27th round of the 2004 draft.
Bandy, 26, hit .234/.281/.392 in 231 PA last season after a brief cup of coffee in 2015.
Gagnon, 26, spent most of last season with Triple-A Colorado Springs. Over four starts and 27 relief appearances, the right-hander posted a 5.56 ERA with a 48/21 K/BB ratio in 55 innings.
