The stars may be aligning for the Atlanta Falcons to make a run to the Super Bowl.
The latest odds for tomorrow’s NFC Championship game show that Atlanta is now a six point favorite to beat the Green Bay Packers.
Also, Friday’s injury report made it clear that Green Bay is not as healthy as the Falcons are heading into this game, with several key playmakers on offense considered game-time decisions.
If that’s not bad enough for the Packers there’s also this: a flu bug is going around the locker room.
On Friday Green Bay’s star quarterback Aaron Rodgers admitted to ESPN reporter Jason Wilde that he is battling the flu. He also further revealed that wide receiver Jordy Nelson and placekicker Mason Crosby have had it too:
Nelson may not be out of the woods, either.
Earlier in the day, Packers coach Mike McCarthy told reporters that his No. 1 wide receiver was being kept away from practice because of concerns that he might be contagious.
Add it all up and it certainly sounds like the odds are against Green Bay heading into their showdown with Atlanta.
