Baylor will be without running back Shock Linwood against Oklahoma.
Interim coach Jim Grobe told reporters Monday that Linwood is suspended for Saturday’s game because of “attitude issues.” Linwood, the school’s all-time leading rusher, has 594 yards on 100 carries this season. He had been dealing with a hamstring issue and had just 27 yards on six carries in the loss to TCU over the weekend.
Per ESPN.com, Grobe said Linwood has “some issues to work through.” There was also a report of Linwood shoving an assistant on the sideline during the 62-22 loss to the Horned Frogs.

“It’s not anything major. It’s not… If I throw out violation of team rules and all that, that sends everybody off thinking the worst,” Grobe said. “But he’s just not been himself. He’s not really been as focused as I think he needs to be, and he’s in a tough situation.
“He’s in a really good rotation with running backs right now, and you’ve got to be on top of your game. Things are not good right now. I just want to help him get his focus back.”
Sophomore Terence Williams, who leads the team with 691 yards and eight touchdowns, will get the start against the Sooners. JaMycal Hasty (359 yards, 2 TDs) will also see increased carries, Grobe said.
Linwood broke Baylor’s all-time rushing record in September. He currently has 4,056 yards in his career along with 36 rushing TDs, another school record.
After starting the year 6-0, the Bears have dropped back-to-back games to Texas and TCU. Saturday’s game in Norman kicks off at noon.
