After losing to Ohio State, the Michigan Wolverines dropped to No. 6 in the USA Today Amway Coaches Poll and No. 5 in the Associated Press Top 25 Poll.
In the Coaches Poll, Alabama (No. 1), Ohio State (No. 2), and Clemson (No. 3) all remained unchanged. Meanwhile, Washington stole Michigan’s spot at No. 4 and Wisconsin jumped to No. 5, leaving Michigan at No. 6.
In the Associated Press Poll, Michigan fell from No. 3 to No. 5, but managed to stay ahead of Wisconsin.
If Michigan wants to jump into the Top 4, then Clemson and/or Washington would have to lose their conference title games next weekend. Clemson is playing Virginia Tech for the ACC title on Saturday, and Washington is playing Colorado in the Pac-12 title on Friday.
