Sixteen players, including projected top-two picks Ben Simmons and Brandon Ingram, have been invited to attend Thursday’s NBA draft at the Barclays Center in New York, league sources told The Vertical.
The group of “green room” prospects is smaller than in years past in which 20 to 25 players were invited to the event, reflecting the uncertainty revolving around the draft.
The league office and many team front offices are struggling to get an accurate read on the draft outside of the top 10 picks, sources said.
As many as three more players could be added to the list by Sunday afternoon, league sources said.
The invited players, in alphabetical order:
Wade Baldwin, Vanderbilt
Dragan Bender, Maccabi Tel Aviv
Jaylen Brown, Cal
Marquese Chriss, Washington
Deyonta Davis, Michigan State
Kris Dunn, Providence
Henry Ellenson, Marquette
Buddy Hield, Oklahoma
Brandon Ingram, Duke
Skal Labissiere, Kentucky
Dejounte Murray, Washington
Jamal Murray, Kentucky
Jakob Poeltl, Utah
Malachi Richardson, Syracuse
Domantas Sabonis, Gonzaga
Ben Simmons, LSU
