One of the NFL’s newest — and silliest — policies has pitted two of the NFL’s most powerful men against each other.
At the NFL owners meetings in Houston last week, Cowboys owner Jerry Jones and Patriots president Jonathan Kraft got into a heated argument over the league’s new social media policy, according to CBS Sports. Jones railed against the new rule, which prohibits teams from posting television highlights or turning them into GIFs to share with followers.
Jones reportedly railed against the new policy, arguing it hurts teams, while Kraft — co-chair of the NFL’s digital media committee — fired back in what was characterized as a feisty exchange. CBS reported Kraft was so upset that he left the room at one point.
