Lane Kiffin coordinated Alabama’s offense to a 13-0 record before FAU announced him as its new head coach last month. Kiffin was to stay on as Bama’s OC throughout the College Football Playoff, but after a mediocre offensive performance in a Peach Bowl win against Washington, the Tide and Kiffin had an apparently unhappy split.
That hasn’t deterred Kiffin from tweeting this during Monday’s National Championship, where Alabama’s taking on Clemson:
“Is that a lap pic?” you asked yourself.
“That’s most definitely a lap pic,” you confirmed to yourself.
What we’ve learned here is that Kiffin’s Alabama-issued sweatpants are comfortable enough for him to keep wearing even now that he’s gone. There’s some chance this is a dated photo, but I’m giving him the benefit of the doubt. We’ve also learned that Kiffin’s comfortable tweeting a lap pic to nearly a quarter-million Twitter followers. That is worthy of our respect.
That Kiffin’s still publicly cheering for Bama isn’t a surprise or inconsistent with anything he said when he left after the semifinal round of the Playoff. “I look forward to helping Alabama win another championship,” he said then.
As for the hashtag here, it’s hard to disagree. Bo Scarbrough most definitely knows.
