Gary Patterson jabs Baylor when talking about arrests

The rivalry between Baylor and TCU is getting real. Coaches are now referencing arrests at other schools.
TCU coach Gary Patterson poked Baylor on Tuesday when he was asked about the arrests of Mike Tuaua and Andre Petties-Wilson. The two players were arrested for assaulting and robbing three students on September 4 and are facing felony robbery charges.
Tuaua has been suspended since September 7 while Petties-Wilson hasn't played in TCU's last two games either.
"All I care (about) is a 50-50 deal," Patterson said at his new conference today via DallasNews.com. "In this kid's case, Mike Tuaua, we'll find out what the facts are. It'll all come out. I just hope when they all come out, you report it just as strongly as what you've done here because it's not even close to what happened south of here."
"South of here" is a very likely reference to the situation involving former Baylor defensive end Sam Ukwuachu, who was convicted of raping a former Baylor soccer player. Ukwuachu never played a down for Baylor after transferring from Boise State. The sexual assault occurred in the fall of 2013 and Ukwuachu wasn't indicted in the incident until the summer of 2014.
Ukwuachu was dismissed from Boise State's football team following an alleged history of violent incidents. A former girlfriend at Boise State had accused him of domestic violence during the trial. Boise State said it had no knowledge of any domestic violence incidents while Ukwuachu was at the school and former Boise State coach Chris Petersen has said he told Baylor coach Art Briles about Ukwuachu before the Bears took him as a transfer.
Did Patterson cross the line? If you're a Baylor fan you probably think so. While he's undoubtedly upset about the attrition on his defense both through suspension and injury, the attrition has nothing to do with Baylor, who doesn't play TCU until November.
Tuaua is also one of Baylor's captains. So the role may also play into his defensiveness.
"I'm just going to tell you something right now when it comes to Mike Tuaua," Patterson said. "I named him captain, but outside (of football) in our community, with kids, he's the most-liked kid we have on our team beside (quarterback) Trevone Boykin."
We'll see if Briles offers any response back to Patterson. The best bet may be to not say anything at all.
