There was a scary moment in the fourth quarter of the New England Patriots' win at Buffalo on Sunday, when Bills defensive back Aaron Williams injured his neck trying to keep New England Patriots receiver Julian Edelman out of the end zone. Williams appeared to smash his face on the turf, and was down for several minutes.
With teammates and coaches gathered nearby, the 25-year old was slowly placed on a stretcher, loaded into an ambulance and was taken to an area hospital. The Bills gathered for what appeared to be a prayer as Williams was being taken off the field on the ambulance. There was about a 12-minute delay in the game.
(UPDATE: Dr. Mark Adickes, who does work with ESPN, tweeted that he talked to Williams' father who said Williams "has full movement in all extremities following his neck injury.")
