Bucks' O.J. Mayo out for the season with leg fracture

O.J. Mayo started 24 games for the Bucks. (Getty Images)Milwaukee Bucks guard O.J. Mayo has suffered a leg fracture and will miss the remainder of the season, league sources told The Vertical.
Mayo, 28, sustained the injury this week and surgery is a possibility, sources said.
Mayo emerged as the Bucks’ starting point guard this season and has averaged 7.8 points, 2.9 assists and 2.6 rebounds in 41 games (24 starts). He is in the final season of a three-year contract he signed with Milwaukee in 2013.
Milwaukee (27-38) has lost Mayo, Michael Carter-Williams and Steve Novak to season-ending injuries in the past few weeks.
Mayo has averaged 13.8 points, 3.1 rebounds and 2.9 assists in eight seasons for Memphis, Dallas and Milwaukee.
