BYU tight end Josh Weeks has been suspended from the team following an arrest.
According to the Salt Lake Tribune, the sophomore was arrested Monday for violating a stalking order. Weeks was booked into jail early Tuesday, but was released on bail a short time later. Weeks was not hit with any new charges, but police said he violated a protective order filed by a woman.

Court documents show that an Orem woman who is a student at Utah Valley University took out a stalking injunction against Weeks, a sophomore who played sparingly last season as a receiver, on March 4.
The temporary civil stalking injunction was signed by Fourth District Court Judge David R. Taylor and ordered Weeks to stay away from the woman's home, work, school and vehicle. A hearing on the matter had been set for April 1 and both parties had secured legal representation.
Additionally, according to KUTV, Weeks also "had a dating violence protective order" filed against him by a different woman in February.
BYU said Weeks, who had three catches for 23 yards last season, is still enrolled in school “while officials conduct a review” of the circumstances. The 23-year-old recently switched positions from wide receiver to tight end.
The Cougars played their spring game on Saturday and will complete spring practice in the upcoming week.
