The Mets have officially acquired star center fielder Carlos Gomez from the Brewers, according to multiple reports.
Wilmer Flores, a 23-year-old infielder, and Zack Wheeler, a 25-year-old starting pitcher, are heading to Milwaukee in return.
Gomez, 29, is a two-time All-Star that's spent the majority of his career with the Brewers.
He is hitting .266 this year, including eight home runs and 43 RBI.
Gomez made his major league debut in 2007 with none other than the New York Mets.
