These aren't great days for LeBron James; despite the fact that he's reached six straight NBA Finals, the Golden State Warriors once again have his Cavaliers on the ropes, and the usual clowns are questioning LeBron's durability, legacy, grit, and all that.
It's enough to make a man want to chuck it all and go do something else ... and as luck would have it, Buffalo Bills head coach Rex Ryan has a job waiting for James.
"That big ol' rascal can come play tight end for us, if he wants to," Ryan said on Wednesday at a Bills media session. He admitted he didn't know much about basketball, but then again, you don't need to know much more than the fact that LeBron is 6'8", 250 pounds ... more than a match for most defensive backs.
James was an all-state receiver in high school as a sophomore and a junior; he gave up football his senior year to focus on basketball, which seems to have been the right career path. Even so, James had everything you could want in a football player ... and Ryan is going all-in (no, not really) to put him in a Bills uni.
"I think it would work out well," Ryan continued. "You look at him. He's physical. Unbelievable. Look at the range. There's nobody that can cover him. There's no way you can cover him. Fast, physical. We'll give it a shot."
Hey, Michael Jordan played baseball, right? And at least this time, Steph Curry won't be on the other side of the ball.
