Golden State Warriors All-Star Draymond Green has been suspended for Game 5 of the NBA Finals after collecting his fourth flagrant foul point of the 2016 playoffs in an altercation with LeBron James late in Game 4.
The NBA announced the decision on Sunday to level a flagrant-1 after Green struck James in the groin with 2:48 left in the Warriors' 108-97 win over the Cleveland Cavaliers on Friday night.
Green will serve his suspension without pay on Monday night.
Green accumulated his flagrant foul points with physical play throughout the postseason, including narrowly missing a suspension in the Western Conference finals for his kick to the groin of Thunder center Steven Adams.
The Warriors lead the Finals 3-1 over Cleveland, but will miss the production and defense of Green. Green has averaged 14.8 points and 9.3 rebounds for the series.
