The Bills announced Tuesday that fourth-round quarterback Cardale Jones has signed his rookie contract.
Jones, listed by the Bills at 6-foot-5, 253 pounds, was one of the draft’s most intriguing prospects given his physical gifts and relative inexperience.
Jones was third on Ohio State’s depth chart heading into the 2014 season and finished it with three wins in his first three starts to help the Buckeyes win the national championship. He decided to return to school and went 8-0 as a starter last fall but was benched at midseason.
The Bills selected Jones with pick No. 139. His signing marks the completion of the team’s rookie class.
