3 additional women file Title IX lawsuits vs. Baylor

Baylor helmetThree more women have filed Title IX lawsuits against Baylor saying they were sexually assaulted while they were students at the school.
The women are all identified as Jane Doe in the lawsuit. Jane Doe 1 became a student in January 2014, Jane Doe 2 said she was sexually assaulted at the school after she enrolled in 2004 and Jane Doe 3 was a student in August of 2012.
Jane Doe 1 said she was sexually assaulted by a Baylor football player in April of 2014. She claims she reported the the alleged assault to a physician a the school who “misinformed Jane Doe 1 and concealed from Jane Doe 1 as to her options to further report the incident, accommodations she was entitled to under Title IX, and further investigatory actions that could be taken by the University."
A woman identified as "Ally" came forward earlier in June to KCEN and said she was sexually assaulted by a current Baylor player in the spring of 2014. Another woman, Dolores Lozano, said earlier this month she planned to file a Title IX suit against the university.
From KWTX:
The lawsuit filed Wednesday says a significant history of student on student harassment “resulting from deliberate indifference, has been allowed to continue” at Baylor “for many years.”

The suit alleges that each of the women reported incidents of sexual abuse and sexual harassment while students, and says that Baylor “failed to adequately investigate each and every one of the events the Plaintiffs reported in violation of Title IX.”
Baylor issued a statement following the filing of the suit and said it would not be commenting because of "the deeply personal and sensitive nature of individual cases and federal law." The school fired football coach Art Briles in May after an independent investigation into the way the school handled sexual assaults. University president Ken Starr kept his chancellor title but subsequently resigned it and made himself look silly defending his actions while in charge at Baylor.

"The decision to report to the university or other authorities is a brave and personal choice and occurs on the student’s timetable. We’re committed to and have already begun to implement changes in order to provide a safe and supportive environment for students and faculty.”
The lawsuit from the three women comes on the heels of a Title IX lawsuit filed by a woman who said she was sexually assaulted by former football player Tevin Elliott, who is currently serving a prison sentence for rape.
Jane Doe 2 alleges she was sexually assaulted at an age younger than 18 in the fall of 2004 while Jane Doe 3 was assaulted multiple times from the fall of 2013 through December 2015 by a man who was also a dorm staff member.
