The Cubs are coming.
A couple spring trainings ago, Cubs president of baseball operations Theo Epstein said young players were repeating that mantra as they worked out and went on a team hike in Arizona.
With September less than a week away, it's safe to say the Cubs are, in fact, HERE.
Following Kris Bryant's walk-off Monday night (the Cubs' fifth straight win), Sports Illustrated pinned the rookie and his teammates on the regional cover:

First off, let's just hope Wrigleyville being renamed "Winnerville" isn't a thing that catches on.
But this SI cover is an exciting, watershed-type moment that depicts how the young Cubs are taking the baseball world by storm.
Entering play Tuesday, the Cubs have the fourth best record in the game (and the fifth best team - the Toronto Blue Jays - are 3.5 games behind them).
The Cubs are the hottest team in baseball, with a 20-4 record since July 29. And they're 6.5 games up on the second wild card in the National League.
But, of course, they're still only third in their own division, in part because the Cardinals appear invincible, as SI indicated on last week's cover, depicting the Redbirds as an unkillable beast:
There's still six weeks of baseball left to play, but the Cubs need only go 18-21 the rest of the way to get to 90 wins, which would have been good enough for a playoff spot in the National League each of the last four seasons.
Now, if only everybody on the Cubs ran around the bases like Pedro Strop...
