Some dads get ties or grill accessories or a subscription to the bacon of the month club on Father's Day. Some gifts, though, just can't be bought, like the one that Dexter Fowler got from his daughter Naya. After Fowler clubbed a grand slam in an 8-0 Chicago Cubs win over the Minnesota Twins, Fowler's wife caught Naya cheering for dad's big moment. She then uploaded the heart-melting scene to Instagram for the rest of us to watch and promptly turn into a puddle of mush. We're guessing Fowler will take a video like that over any Father's Day gift his daughter could dream up for the rest of her life.
With her cancer still in remission and another recovery hurdle cleared, Leah Still got some good news with a hospital discharge over the weekend. To celebrate, her and dad Devon had a dance party in her room, and posted it to Instagram for all the fans who have supported them both during her fight. Here's hoping for many more dance parties in her future because this one was awesome.
The Chicago Blackhawks' run of three Stanley Cups in six seasons has been reason for the entire city to party, much like the United Center rocks to The Fratellis' "Chelsea Dagger" after every goal by Patrick Kane or Jonathan Toews. As part of the city-wide show of pride, the Chicago Symphony Orchestra quickly snapped out their own rendition of the goal celebration anthem, and it was even greater than we expected.
