1941 - Lou Boudreau, 24, becomes Cleveland Indians player/manager.
1944 - Kenesaw Mountain Landis, judge/baseball commisioner, dies at 78.
1949 - Ted Williams, wins AL MVP.
1951 - Cleveland Browns penalized a record 209 yards against Chicago Bears.
