Tyson Chandler has reached agreement on a four-year, $50 million-plus contract with the Phoenix Suns, league sources told Yahoo Sports.
After agreeing to the deal, Chandler joined the Suns in their recruiting pitch to Portland Trail Blazers' free-agent LaMarcus Aldridge in Los Angeles, sources told Yahoo Sports.
Chandler can serve as a mentor for Alex Len, the No. 5 overall pick in the 2013 NBA draft.
Chandler averaged 10.3 points and 11.5 rebounds in 75 games last season with the Dallas Mavericks after being acquired from the New York Knicks. He helped the Mavericks win the 2011 NBA championship.
Chandler, 32, has averaged 8.8 points and 9.3 rebounds across his 14 NBA seasons.
