Brandon Knight has reached agreement on a five-year, $70 million contract extension with the Phoenix Suns, league sources told Yahoo Sports.
Knight, 23, averaged 13.4 points and 4.5 assists in 11 games for the Suns last season after they acquired him in a three-team deal with the Milwaukee Bucks and Philadelphia 76ers at the February trade deadline. Ankle and heel injuries sidelined him for most of his short time in Phoenix last season.
The Suns acquired Knight after Goran Dragic demanded a trade and was sent to the Miami Heat.
In his four NBA seasons, Knight has averaged 15.2 points and 4.5 assists. The Detroit Pistons took him with the eighth overall pick of the 2011 NBA draft.
