Robert Nkemdiche charged with possession of marijuana

Police told the Atlanta Journal-Constitution “approximately 7 rolled marijuana cigarettes” were found in Nkemdiche’s hotel room at the Grand Hyatt Atlanta.
According to police, Nkemdiche broke the window of his fourth-story hotel room, walked about 15 feet, climbed over a wall and fell 15 feet. When Atlanta police found Nkemdiche, he was conscious and breathing.” Nkemdiche was transported to Grady Memorial Hospital where he was listed in stable condition.
Mississippi coach Hugh Freeze said in a statement Sunday that he was “still learning about the matter, but obviously Robert’s well being is our greatest concern.”
Ole Miss officials have not responded to the charges.
Nkemdiche was a second team AP All-American and is widely considered a top pick in the NFL draft if he were to forgo his senior season.
