1939 - Lee Buck Trevino, Dallas Tx, PGA golfer (US Open 1968, 71) is born.
1964 - Houston Colt .45s change name to Astros.
1967 - Pacific Northwest Sports awarded AL expansion franchise (Seattle).
1967 - Wilt Chamberlain set NBA record of 22 free throws misses.
1970 - NHL takes control of Pittsburgh Penguins.
