1940 - Nick Buoniconti, NFL linebacker (Miami Dolphins)/sportscaster (NBC) is born.
1944 - Stan Bahnsen, pitcher (NY Yankee, 1968 AL Rookie-of-year) isborn.
1946 - Chicago Bears beat NY Giants 24-14 in NFL Championship game.
