The school announced 90 minutes before tip-off that coach Mike Krzyzewski will not be on the sideline when the Blue Devils visit Georgia Tech on Tuesday night.
Krzyzewski was feeling "under the weather" after Duke's team meal Monday night and stayed behind in Durham. Doctors at Duke University Hospital evaluated him and advised him not to travel to Atlanta for the game on Tuesday.
Duke associate head coach Jeff Capel will coach the Blue Devils on Tuesday in a game of great significance for the program. With two games against Louisville, two games against North Carolina and a game against Virginia still remaining on its ACC schedule, Duke (15-6, 4-4) cannot afford to take a loss against a team in the lower half of the standings.
Georgia Tech is only 2-6 in ACC play but the Yellowjackets have been dangerous at home this season. They've beaten VCU and Virginia in Atlanta and pushed Louisville to the final minutes.
