Steelers to sport all-black uniforms for 'Color Rush' vs. Ravens on Christmas
Pittsburgh will debut it's black-on-black ensemble against rival Baltimore in a Christmas Day showdown.
Contrary to tradition, this upcoming holiday season will feature a "Black Christmas."
The Steelers will debut their "Color Rush" uniforms when they host the rival Ravens at 4:30 p.m. ET in a Christmas Day showdown.
According to the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review, the Steelers will sport a black-on-black ensemble. The team was initially scheduled to debut its "Color Rush" uniforms in Week 12 against the Colts.
"We will be wearing what is referred to as our 'Color Rush' uniform for the first time," team president Art Rooney II said, via the team's website. "I know in a few weeks we are going to be able to unveil exactly what that looks like. We haven't had a home game on Christmas in my memory. It will be unique, special. This will add a little more excitement to what I am sure will be an exciting day."
For those who don't have the patience to wait until the uniforms are revealed, here's what 247Sports.com's Bryan DeArdo had in mind:
If you prefer stripes to the all-black uniforms, the Steelers are slated to wear their 1930s-inspired bumblebee jerseys when they host the Jets in Week 5.
