LSU star running back Leonard Fournette injured his ankle during a scrimmage on Tuesday, coach Les Miles told reporters following the practice.
Fournette was in an orthopedic boot, but Miles classified the injury as “light.”

Miles on Fournette recovery: "Don't know. I know it's not, in his words ... he'll be fine."
Miles did not specify when Fournette would return.
LSU has had bad luck with injuries so far during preseason camp. Defensive linemen Christian LaCouture and Isaiah Washington suffered season-ending injuries last Sunday, and safety Corey Thompson will miss at least six weeks after fracturing his lower leg.
Fournette is a Heisman frontrunner after rushing 300 times for 1,953 yards and 22 touchdowns in 2015. The touchdowns and yards were both school records.
