1925 - Record 73,000 pay to watch Chicago Bears beat NY Giants 19-7.
1955 - NY psychologist Joyce Brothers won "$64,000 Question" on boxing.
1955 - Honus Wagner, all-time great baseball player, dies at 81.
1960 - AL grants Gene Autry a franchise, LA Angels.
