"He's in a horrible downward spiral," an unidentified person, described as "very close to the QB," told TMZ.

Former Browns quarterback Johnny Manziel's drinking and drug use have gotten so bad that some close to him are worried he is in a lethal spiral, TMZ.com reported Tuesday.
The gossip site describes a Manziel, who is noticeably thinner, as being "reckless with his drug problem recently — even blowing lines (of cocaine) in front of people he barely knows."
According to an unidentified source, a group of friends attempted an intervention with Manziel, but "he flipped out and would not hear it."
Manziel, who reportedly is the subject of a wide-ranging NFL investigation, remains a free agent since his release from the Browns in March. He is free on bond after being charged in a Dallas domestic violence case involving his former girlfriend.
Terms from his bond hearing early this month didn't require him to remain in Dallas County, and Manziel's attorney, Bob Hinton, told The Dallas Morning News that his client would return to Los Angeles and "just go about his life."
Which, according to TMZ, means he continues to party hard — in Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Miami, Coachella, Dallas. In fact, on Friday, he was kicked out of a Las Vegas nightclub after allegedly punching a man.
Multiple unidentified sources told TMZ that his outburst at Jewel nightclub at the Aria has made him not welcome at The Strip's top spots.
"He's too much of a risk. He's a good guy, but he's a f—ing mess," one unidentified person described as a "high-powered nightclub source" told TMZ. Manziel's representative told TMZ there was nothing she could say on the matter.
The bottom line, an unidentified source told the gossip website: "If he continues this way for much longer he will die.”
