1921 - 1st World Series radio broadcast, Yanks beat Giants 3-0.
1922 - Yanks & Giants play an infamous 3-3 tie World Series game.
1947 - Al Gionfriddo makes a great catch off Joe DiMaggio in World Series.

American baseball writer and statistician is born.
