Republican presidential candidate Ben Carson gets endorsement from former UFC champ Vitor Belfort

Donald Trump should probably invest in some head gear, because Republican presidential candidate Dr. Ben Carson may have just found his new running mate.
Depending on which poll you're looking at, Carson is leading the Republican presidential primary race over real estate tycoon Trump. On Tuesday, during a trip to Florida, Carson stopped by the gym of former UFC light heavyweight champion Vitor Belfort.
The two posed for pictures and even shared a meal together.
If you thought the 2016 presidential race was already wacky, sit tight: we still have another year to go.
Carson and Belfort are both men of faith – hey, maybe Vitor can help the Doc with his haircuts – and both have zero prior political experience. Carson is running against Trump, who also, oddly enough, has no prior political experience (sans a brief, failed presidential run in 2012). Belfort is a fighter with a checkered past involving performance-enhancing drugs.
With The Donald receiving his own recent fight world endorsement from old pal “Iron Mike” Tyson, perhaps it’s time for these two presidential candidates to settle this campaign the old fashioned way: With lots and lots of cash from various special interest groups.
Right? Right.
