Monday night's 42-24 season-opening win over Virginia Tech was exciting for Ohio State fans everywhere, but one group may be even more charged up: Cleveland Browns fans. About midway through the win in Blacksburg, Browns fans started campaigning for their team to tank this season so it can be in pole position to snag Jones in the NFL draft. The hashtag #FailforCardale started making the rounds, and 24 hours later, it was still going strong. It's not all that different than the #SuckforLuck campaign back in 2011, though we're a long way from knowing if this lobby effort is worth the time.
It's been a while since Conor McGregor has been in his home country of Ireland. Thanks to his bout earlier this summer, he moved to Las Vegas to prepare, and then stayed weeks after to film a TV show for UFC. So when he finally returned, there was a bit of a crowd waiting for him. Thankfully for us, UFC cameras were rolling to catch a truly awesome scene.
Markieff Morris has made it clear he doesn't want to be a member of the Phoenix Suns when the upcoming season starts, and that's a big no-no in the NBA. Ever since the Suns traded away his brother, Marcus, Morris has been openly declaring he doesn't want to be on the Suns anymore. The NBA snapped off a $10,000 fine as punishment and sent out a press release to announce it. Morris was so amused that he retweeted the news. It would appear he is undeterred.
