Lincecum pulled after getting hit by line drive

Saturday's start already looked like it would be a short one for Tim Lincecum, but a line drive back to the mound sped up the process.
Lincecum was pulled after getting smoked on his pitching arm by a D.J. LeMahieu liner in the top of the second inning. The ball ricocheted to first base and the Giants got an out at home, but Lincecum immediately jumped off the mound in pain. Trainer Dave Groeschner came out and pulled Lincecum without much conversation, and the right-hander headed straight for the clubhouse.
The Giants later announced that Lincecum suffered a right forearm contusion.
The Giants trailed 3-0 when Lincecum was pulled and he left with two runners on base. Yusmeiro Petit had jogged to the bullpen during a long first inning and he was warming up when Lincecum got hurt. Lincecum was charged with three runs on four hits and two walks in 1 2/3 innings.
The Giants tentatively have Jake Peavy scheduled to return to the rotation in the spot currently occupied by Lincecum. Manager Bruce Bochy said before Saturday's game that the staff has made a decision, but won't announce a new rotation for at least a couple of days.
