The Houston Rockets have traded K.J. McDaniels to the Brooklyn Nets, league sources told The Vertical.
The deal allows Houston to free $3 million in cap space to use on the buyout market. The Rockets are now $3.3 million below the salary cap with 14 guaranteed contracts.
Houston is 40-18 and currently holds the No. 3 seed in the Western Conference.
McDaniels, 24, averaged 2.8 points in 29 games with Houston this season.
