Notorious ball hawk apologizes for attending Fort Bragg game

Notorious ball hawk Zack Hample has apologized for attending Sunday night’s game between the Miami Marlins and Atlanta Braves at Fort Bragg military base.
Hample tweeted out pictures from the game, including one with a commemorative ball in his hand, which raised questions as the limited number of tickets available were to be reserved for Department of Defense employees and their family members. The Fort Bragg game was the first time a major-league regular season game has been held at a military base and was meant as tribute to those who serve in the United States’ armed forces.
After receiving serious backlash on social media, Hample issued a lengthy apology through Twitter and explained how he got his ticket:
Zack Hample
I am deeply sorry for going to Fort Bragg. There's lots of misinformation, so here's what really happened:
It’s not the first time Hample has caused a stir; his love for baseballs has gotten him into trouble before, but never quite like this. It’s never a good idea to do anything that might come off as disrespectful to the military and Hample certainly struck a nerve by being at a game he wasn’t supposed to be at.
