Russell Wilson upgrades soldier to first class

It really seems like few athletes are as cool as Russell Wilson. He's an underdog who become a star, has loads of endorsement deals, suits up for the Rangers during spring training, and is apparently now dating Ciara. You'd have to be a 49ers or Broncos fan not to like the guy, but even then, he's making it tough to knock him after his latest move. Wilson upgraded a soldier named Kane Bernas to first class on a flight to Seattle, and a grateful Bernas excitedly tweeted a thank you to Wilson, who responded in kind. One of those many endorsement deals happens to be with Alaska Airlines, so we have to tip our hat to Wilson for pulling rank to help Bernas out.
Every NFL fan is hungry for big-time inside information when draft day arrives, even superstars in other sports. Mike Trout may play baseball for the Angels in California, but he's a Philly guy at heart and a diehard Eagles fan. So imagine ESPN insider Adam Schefter's surprise when he got a Twitter Direct Message from none other than Trout himself, looking for the scoop on his birds in the hours leading up to the draft. Schefter tweeted a screengrab of the message, much to the delight of the rest of us following along.
We know you've likely never heard of Northern Illinois receiver Aregeros Turner, but you'll be looking for him next season after watching the catch he made at the team facility this week. We've never seen anyone try to make a catch mid-backflip, but that's why we'll remember his name this fall.
