Your first look at MLB's new spring training caps for 2017

Once again, Major League Baseball has unveiled new spring-training fashions in the weeks ahead of camps opening. We have eight new caps to show you below from seven teams — oddly enough, it’s the usually traditional New York Yankees who have two new caps.
MLB, along with its official cap maker, New Era, redesigned A LOT of caps before spring training 2016. It’s not as big of an overhaul this year, but there are still a few notable changes. You’ll also notice that the spring-training patches that debuted last year — denoting either Arizona or Florida — are back for 2017 as well. Now, let’s look at some of these caps:

1. Mariners
This Mariners cap is the best of the bunch, using the old triton logo on the current colorway. This will be the team’s primary spring cap and it’s a winner.

2. Yankees
Two new alternate caps for the Yankees this year. The first is the cap with the pinstriped bill, which had already leaked and angered a lot of traditionalists (I don’t think it’s that bad). The second cap features an all-grey crown and shouldn’t be as hated.

3. Braves
Atlanta is giving big play to its tomahawk logo, putting it on an all-navy cap for the first time.

4. Rays
The Rays wore sunburst logo caps last year, but this is the first time it’s going on a baby-blue-and-white cap. It’s very much reminiscent of the old powder-blue Chargers uniforms. In a good way.

5. Cubs
This isn’t out of the left field, but it is new. The Cubs are putting their Cubbie bear logo on an all-blue cap for the first time.

6. Indians
This is a new colorway for the defending AL champs. It’s nice but not a huge overhaul.

7. Mets
The Mets had been wearing a Mr. Met cap last year, they go back to tradition with the interlocking NY.

These 3/4-sleeve batting practice jerseys from Majestic are also new for 2017:

Which caps do you love? Any you hate?
