76ers trade Ersan Ilyasova to Hawks

Ersan Ilyasova played 53 games for the 76ers. (AP)As Atlanta Hawks general manager Wes Wilcox promised, the franchise has turned into a trade-deadline buyer.
The Hawks agreed to trade with the Philadelphia 76ers to acquire forward Ersan Ilyasova, league sources told The Vertical.
The Hawks will send center Tiago Splitter and a 2017 second-round draft pick via the Miami Heat to the Sixers, league sources said.
The Hawks and Sixers agreed on a swap of 2017 second-round picks, which ultimately will become the Golden State Warriors’ second-round pick headed to Atlanta, league sources said.
Philadelphia has continued discussions on trading center Jahlil Okafor, league sources said. Talks with the Chicago Bulls were continuing Tuesday night, with the Bulls working to persuade the 76ers to accept forward Nikola Mirotic as part of a trade package, league sources said.
Ilyasova has played for five teams since the summer of 2015 and has been included in four trades. Ilyasova gives Atlanta a sharpshooting power forward who has averaged 14.8 points on 44 percent shooting for the Sixers this season.
The Hawks are 32-24, holding onto fourth place in the Eastern Conference standings.
The Sixers plan to use Splitter, 32, as a mentor for their young centers the rest of the season.
