When it was announced that FIFA 16, EA Sports' best-selling video game, would feature women's national teams for the first time, it was considered a landmark moment for video games. Somehow, the NCAA has managed to screw up that awesome honor for a few players. EA Sports announced in a statement that while it didn't agree with the decision, it was forced to removed 13 players from the game thanks to a dispute with the NCAA. Why the NCAA? Because those players, while suiting up for their senior national teams at this summer's FIFA Women's World Cup, also suit up for NCAA universities, and could be declared ineligible by appearing in the game. It's a spectacular flop by the NCAA, the kind we've sadly gotten very used to enduring.
BYU is off to one of the craziest starts to a college football season in recent memory, snagging last-gasp wins at both Nebraska and Boise State. So how are they celebrating? With a rap video, of course. Normally these things are a bad idea, but surprisingly, this one is actually pretty good.
Rickie Fowler isn't the sort of player that needs a lucky break or two during a round, but he got one of the craziest you'll ever see during the BMW Championship on Thursday. Fowler's ball looks certain to skip across the green and into the rough, but then hits Jordan Spieth's ball, knocking it off the green and landing inches from the hole. Amazing.
