Peyton avoids talking about #DeflateGate

PeytonTom Brady’s new nemesis is Ted Wells. And Brady’s prior nemesis isn’t wading into that specific morass.
Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning opted on Friday not to say anything about the #DeflateGate controversy.
“I’ll speak it as clearly and slowly as I can,” Manning told reporters at an event in Indianapolis on Friday, via the Associated Press. “He’s my friend, he’ll always be my friend. I don’t know what happened, I don’t have much more than that for you.”
Manning is smart enough to know that he gains nothing by chiming in, especially since he plays both the Colts and the Patriots this year. And he’s smart enough to know he’s not smart enough to know much about the science of football air pressure.
“I went to Tennessee, I can’t give you that much information,” Manning said. “A man’s got to know his limitations.”
Of course, that’s how this problem started. Brady apparently believed his own limitations started at some point under 12.5 PSI, the minimum air pressure for an NFL football. And it’s more probable than not that he tried a little too hard to stay within them.
