Patrick Kane expected to be at Blackhawks camp

As the investigation involving Patrick Kane continued over this past month, the question of where he stood with the Blackhawks loomed. Would he be at training camp when the Blackhawks convened later this month?
On Wednesday, that question was answered.
Kane is listed on the training camp roster and is expected to be at Notre Dame when the Blackhawks begin camp there on Friday, according to the team. Kane has been under investigation for an alleged rape that may have occurred at his home in early August. He has not been charged with anything.
A grand jury hearing on the Kane investigation - which was originally scheduled for Sept. 8 - was postponed. Several outlets have reported that hearing will be rescheduled.
Some may consider it a surprise that Kane is expected to attend. No, he has not been charged with anything as this investigation continues, and there’s probably no legal reason to keep him away from camp. Kane's presence will certainly become the focal point.
Blackhawks president John McDonough, general manager Stan Bowman and coach Joel Quenneville will meet with the media on Thursday, when it’s expected they’ll address the situation. But the questions and the attention surrounding things won’t go away in one day.
