You may think you know a thing or two about Houston Rockets center Dwight Howard, but you have no idea. A recent feature by Bleacher Report revealed a few details about the big man's life, but perhaps none as jarring (or fascinating) as the fact that he owns 20 pet snakes and around 50 guns. Now, gun collections aren't exactly that surprising when it comes to people with expendable income, but get this – the collection includes bazookas and what reportedly looked like a golden Desert Eagle. Granted, a bazooka wouldn't look quite so massive if Howard was the one holding it up, but we certainly would respect the power in person. But just in case guns don't freak you out, there are plenty of snakes. We kind of feel like Howard doesn't even need a home security system since most people walk in, see all the guns and all the snakes and probably turn right back around. We're going to be a little more careful about making fun of him going forward.
We think the Atlanta Hawks' "True Believer" playoff campaign is a winner, even if they had that slight mishap where they forgot to include Jeff Teague on one of their playoff shirts. We got a glimpse of yet another element of the campaign, though, last night when the Hawks tweeted out a picture of their tunnel, adorned with posters from kids at Atlanta-area schools cheering the team on. It's a really cool touch, and yet another great way the Hawks have connected with their fans.
What does a college basketball team do in the offseason to cure boredom? The Baylor Bears go to a gymnastics gym and work on their dunking skills with the help of trampolines and foam pits. You can tell they were on top of their game thanks to the slow motion effects.
