"After a lot of thought and reflection I have decided to forego my remaining eligibility and declare for the NFL Draft," Prosise wrote on Instagram. "Thank you to Notre Dame, the coaches, staff, faculty and fans. I couldn't have asked for a better university to play for, it's been an honor to have played with Team 127 and I'm glad to have had the opportunity. I look forward to what lies ahead. Thank you, Go Irish!!!"
Prosise, a senior, became Notre Dame’s premier back this season after Tarean Folston was lost for the year in the season opener.
Prosise carried the ball 156 times for 1,032 yards and 11 touchdowns, but missed three games, including the Fiesta Bowl against Ohio State, with varying injuries. A high ankle sprain kept him out of what would have ultimately been his final collegiate game.
Prosise’s 2015 season was really his only quality campaign with the Irish. He played sparingly in 2013 and had just 10 carries for 126 yards and a touchdown in 2014.
