Beyonce to join Coldplay at Super Bowl 50 halftime show

Rock in Rio 2013
If you weren't excited about Coldplay as the Super Bowl 50 halftime show: 1) you weren't alone, 2) maybe the NFL can sell you on Beyonce appearing with them.
Entertainment Tonight reported that Beyonce will join Coldplay for the Super Bowl halftime show on Feb. 7, creating an awkward situation in which the headlining act of the halftime show is completely overshadowed by the performer joining them.
Beyonce headlined the Super Bowl XLVII halftime show in New Orleans, and was joined on stage by fellow members of Destiny's Child.
Perhaps the lukewarm response to Coldplay as the halftime act this year (really NFL, there wasn't ONE Bay Area-based group that would have agreed to do it?) led to partnering them up with a more popular act. After all, who doesn't like Beyonce?
Beyonce and Coldplay collaborated on "Hymn for the Weekend," so expect to hear that at halftime of the Super Bowl. Presumably most of the set will just be Coldplay. Which will be great, if you're really into them. Anyone?
