Vikings' Teddy Bridgewater was knocked out cold by a dirty hit

Minnesota Vikings quarterback Teddy Bridgewater suffered a concussion Sunday after taking a shot on a late hit from St. Louis Rams defensive back Lamarcus Joyner.
Bridgewater was attempting to slide on the play but Joyner went after him anyway and appeared to lead with his left shoulder. Bridgewater remained motionless after being hit, and his eyes appeared to be closed for a few moments.
Joyner was assessed a 15-yard unnecessary roughness penalty but was not ejected from the game. The nature of the hit drew some strong postgame comments from VIkings coach Mike Zimmer, who drew Rams' defensive coordintor Gregg Williams into the controversy and referenced his "bountygate" past.

“If we were on the street, we probably would have had a fight.” Zimmer also references the “history” of “their defensive coordinator.

H.C. Mike Zimmer: "I agree that it was a cheap shot. [Gregg Williams'] defenses are all like that."
Zimmer also gave Rams coach Jeff Fisher the cold shoulder during the postgame handshake, which followed the 21-18 in overtime victory by the Vikings.
After he was helped off the field, Bridgewater was taken to the locker room. He was replaced by Shaun Hill.
Bridgewater had completed 13 of 21 passes for 144 yards and an interception, and rushed for a touchdown and two-point conversion to give the Vikings an 18-15 lead late in the third quarter.
