President Barack Obama sent Scottie Pippen a handwritten 50th birthday card

Have we mentioned yet that President Barack Obama is a big fan of the Chicago Bulls? Because he is. Like, he really, really is.
The president's latest display of Bulls-backing bona fides? Sending a personalized handwritten note to Bulls legend Scottie Pippen for his 50th birthday:

Scottie Pippen
It's not every day you get a handwritten note from the . Thank you for the birthday wishes!

Scottie —
Happy 50th Birthday, brother ... hope you are well even if we all lose some vertical at this age!
The president was thoughtful enough to make sure he spelled Pippen's first name right ... which is more than we can say for Pippen's legendary former running buddy when it came time for him to celebrate Obama's 50th. Solid spell-checking, Mr. President.
I'm sorry to say that, unlike the commander-in-chief, I didn't get you anything, Scottie. Here's hoping you won't mind me re-gifting this post saying I think you were kind of on the money about saying you were LeBron before LeBron. Enjoy the big day, sir.
