Police investigating whether Raider taunted K-9 dog in Pittsburgh

Pittsburgh police are investigating whether an Oakland Raiders player taunted a police dog on Sunday prior to the Steelers-Raiders game. A player, allegedly linebacker Ray-Ray Armstrong, lifted his shirt, beat his chest, and began barking and shouting in the direction of the K-9 dog.
“We were immediately notified about the incident, and we immediately initiated a criminal investigation into the matter," said Allegheny County Sheriff's Office Chief Deputy Kevin Kraus told a local CBS affiliate. "Sheriff’s Office supervisors interviewed witnesses and reviewed video surveillance recordings at Heinz Field. We notified the District Attorney’s Office on Sunday. The Sheriff’s Office is currently reviewing all of the information and reports to make a final determination relating to charges."
Wait a second. Criminal investigation? For hollering at a dog?
Yep, turns out taunting a police dog is a third-degree felony, which carries with it a maximum of seven years in prison and a $15,000 fine. The Oakland Raiders are looking stronger than they have in decades, but they may have jumped straight from scary to felonious.
The team has been informed of the investigation. Armstrong is in his third year out of Miami.
