1940 - Dave DeBusschere, Detroit Michigan, NBA foward
(NY Knick)/last ABA commissioner is born.
1941 - Tim McCarver, baseball catcher (Phils, Mets)/sportscaster (ABC, CBS) is born.
1942 - Natl Boxing Association freezes titles of those serving in armed services.
